Café Kocur (the cat) is located in the premises of a villa (right in front of the first building of Matica slovenská), built at the end of the 19th century. In this house, now a national cultural monument, important personalities who shaped the Slovak national consciousness lived and worked, such as Elena Maróthy-Šoltésová or the first Czechoslovak president, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. This nice bar with its brick walls regularly organizes quizzes, concerts, wine tastings, concerts. A really nice place.
