In the years 1919-1921, the Moravian Ján Rufínus Stejskal built this beautiful theatre called Grand Bio Univerzum. At that time, the building had a stage and a large hall with two galleries. After the building was approved in December 1921, the first Slovak feature film, Jánošík, was shown here on January 3, 1922. Today, this historic building is used for classical music concerts performed by the city's symphony orchestra.
