VILLAGE OF RAJECKÁ LESNÁ
This small village houses a reconstruction of the Bethlehem cave made of carved lime wood, made over almost 20 years by the cabinetmaker Jozef Pekara. This village became a place of pilgrimage in the 16th century. The basilica of Notre-Dame-Des-Sept-Péchés, next to the cave, was built in 1865 and houses an 11th century statue of the Virgin Mary. The procession takes place every 8th September. On this occasion, the statue came out of the basilica. Under the Calvary, next to the basilica, gushes the miraculous spring of Lourdes (lurdská kaplnka).
