The spa is not far from the castle. At the foot of the Malá Magura mountains, the Bojnice spa culminates at 290 m above sea level. Set in pleasant parkland, the 9 therapeutic hydrocarbon springs treat motor and nervous disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and post-burn conditions. Known since the 12th century, the thermal waters began to be exploited in the 19th century under the impetus of Count Pálffy.
