This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the Slovak nation. It was here that the country's first political programme was drafted: the Memorandum of the Slovak Nation. In the authentic premises, period furniture, rare books, facsimiles of period documents and pictures document the important position of Liptovský Mikuláš as the centre of national and political life in Slovakia in the mid-19th century, the time of the Slovak national awakening.
