REDOUBT (REDUTA)
Kežmarok Reduta is a classic monument located in the historic centre of the city. Located very close to the main square, it was originally a watchtower. Transformed into a seigneurial house during the Renaissance by the Thökölys, the Redoubt then housed a printing house between 1705 and 1707, before serving as a ballroom after its reconstruction in classical style in 1818. Only the portal dates from the Renaissance period. On its façade, a Latin inscription indicates that the building is intended for guards, guests and entertainment.
