This museum pays tribute to the work of Jozef Maximilián Petzval (1807-1891). Born in this house in Spišská Belá, this mathematician and physicist is considered the inventor of optical geometry, photography and modern cinematography. The museum displays almost 600 objects tracing the history of photographic optics, including a daguerreotype designed with a lens that made Petzval's reputation. A must-see for photo enthusiasts.
