It is undoubtedly the city's greatest attraction. Originally built in 1298, modified in the 14th century by late Gothic additions, it was rebuilt after a fire in 1684, renovated and enlarged in a Baroque style. Its interior is rich in Baroque and Gothic decorations and shelters in particular beautiful medieval frescos dating from the period 1360 to 1430, they are classified as Slovak national cultural heritage.
