Built in 1659 in an architectural style typical of the Spiš region, it houses an original bell from 1392. It was customary in Spiš to ring the bell more than ten times a day, and some rings could last several hours. This independent four-storey, square-shaped building is located in the courtyard of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, and has established itself as the dominant building in the square. It is an important cultural monument of Slovakia.
