At the crossroads of the main street and the university, stands a very beautiful medieval residence in the late Gothic style, superbly preserved and restored. The house of Levoča was originally used as a hostel by the merchants of Levoča in the 15th century when they came to Košice to trade under the Pentapolis agreements. Bought by the city in 1569, it remained an inn until the 17th century when the Jesuits turned it into a pharmacy.
