This church was built according to the plans of the architect Anton Povolny between 1825 and 1837 in the southern part of the square on the foundations of an old wooden church. Its plan shows a Greek cross topped by a large dome. It has lost its importance because most Lutheran believers were expelled in 1948 because of their German ethnic origin. This architectural complex houses archives and a rich library.
