Built in 1275, it is unique in having been constructed in a transitional architectural style combining late Romanesque and early Gothic. The church's immaculate white walls are topped by a bulbous bell tower. Mount Golgotha is depicted on the south tympanum. Beautiful Byzantine-influenced Gothic frescoes depicting the Last Supper, the Last Judgment and other patron saints were only rediscovered in 1950 after being covered with lime in the 17th century.
