St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is the main place of worship of the Orthodox Church in Slovakia. Located in Prešov on Partizanska Street, south of the central square, it was built in a typically Russian style, with onion-shaped domes dating from 1950. Enlarged and renovated in 2004, it houses the city's Russian Orthodox rite offices. Its interior corresponds to the canons of the Orthodox church with an iconostasis to separate the nave from the main altar.
