The Bardejov Open Air Museum is the oldest skansen (open air museum) in Slovakia. It opened its doors in 1965. It has 22 traditional wooden buildings on a 2 hectare area from the north-eastern part of the country, specifically from the Upper Šariš and Zemplin regions. The buildings come from the Slovak and Ruthenian cultures of the 19th century. These include a hydraulic saw and beautiful sacred buildings.
