The exhibition, which opened to the public in 1983, is housed in an 18th-century Baroque manor house. It presents the development of Ukrainian and Ruthenian folk art in Slovakia from the 16th century to the present day. The two dominant features of the exhibition are a rare collection of icons and the works of national artist Dezider Milly (1906-1971). His paintings depict the rural man from the inside, a fine historical testimony.
