The city centre is full of historic buildings. At the time of boarding, we can observe a bourgeois house in the rococo style of the main square, cotoyant the old chamber of mines in a Renaissance building, recognizable by its massive arcades. The guêt tower overlooking the city is Renaissance style. It was built in 1643 and was rebuilt in a baroque style following a fire. The façade of the old hospital contains a pediment with 3 baroque statues. It was opened in the th century by the Andrassý family. Between Saint-François-Xavier and Saint-Jean-Népomucène churches, a thread of shops facades dating from the end of the Middle Ages overlooks the street and reminds us how the city was the economic centre of the region.
