INTERNATIONAL PORT OF DJIBOUTI
Gradually built up, this port welcomes bulk vessels bound for Djibouti, and resembles all the world's major ports.
Since the construction of the deep-water port of Doraleh (which supplies Ethiopia exclusively), it has been used only for bulk ships bound for Djibouti. Built little by little, it now resembles every major port in the world: colourful containers, skeleton but sturdy cranes, trucks. One enters it through the Marabout au Héron district. Traffic is obviously limited and controlled. At the fishing port, a few small pleasant restaurants have been created.
