VIA SOTTORIVA
Charming alley, lined with porticos and houses of the XIII and XIV centuries, connecting the church of Sant'Anastasia to the Adige.
This charming alley, lined with a few signs but mostly with porticoes and buildings (from the 13th and 14th centuries), serves as a link between the Basilica of Sant'Anastasia and the banks of the Adige. As the Italian word "Sottoriva" (under the riverbank) suggests, this small street is subject to flooding... On the surrounding walls, there is a commemorative plaque: "Adige 17 settembre 1782". On that day, the waters of the river had reached a record level and had risen to more than one meter.
