What better way to enjoy the magic of the festive season than at the Christmas markets in Scandinavia? A real moment.
Every year, come and enjoy the festive season at the various Christmas markets in and around the capital. The Christmas market with the earliest opening (end of November) is Ellidavatnsbaer, a little way away. Note that it's only open from 12pm to 5pm on weekends! In the center of town, on Place Ingólfstorg, don't miss the ice rink and the festive evening stalls. Other markets to discover include Hjartagarður, Laugardalur Park, the Open-Air Museum... There's something new every year, so be sure to ask before you go.
