Probably the most famous festival in Iceland, it gathers every year great local and international bands.

One of the most innovative festivals in the music world, and probably the most famous music festival in Iceland. Sponsored by the Icelandair group and the Sena airline, Iceland Airwaves is held in Reykjavík, with concerts at numerous venues around the city. Practical: special packages are usually available from Icelandair, including round-trip flights and passes, or a more comprehensive package (round-trip flights, accommodation, breakfasts, transfers and entry to the festival).
