Playing golf in the lava fields? It's possible in Iceland, and only 20 minutes by car from the capital city! Located in the municipality of Garðabær, this unusual golf course offers two courses, a 9-hole and an 18-hole. When the weather is nice, it is even more pleasant to play in such a green environment with the beautiful purple shades of the lupines in the summer. It is hard to imagine that there was once lava here, from the sleeping volcano Búrfell.
