360° BOUTIQUE HOTEL & LODGE
Upscale hotel located in an Icelandic valley not far from Route 1, ideal for a quality, timeless experience.
Opened in 2018, Hotel 360° is ideally located at the bottom of a valley in the south of the country, not far from Route 1. It's perhaps one of the best places in the world to observe the Northern Lights. Surrounded by nature, it stands alone in a natural landscape of forests and meadows of great beauty. Highly appreciated for its setting and landscapes worthy of a painting, the establishment also offers exceptional quality of service. Set in a straight, single-storey building of contemporary inspiration, the rooms follow one another in a row. They are spacious and all feature large bay windows, allowing perfect communion with the surrounding nature: whether waking up or going to bed, you'll enjoy ultimate comfort while having the sensation of sleeping in the middle of nature. Some rooms also feature a terrace. Inside, each room or suite has its own unique decor, combining raw materials such as waxed concrete walls and dark wood flooring with a contemporary, warm and chic design. The bedding is wonderfully soft, and all rooms are equipped with smart TVs, broadband connections and toiletries. The little extra: complimentary coffee and tea. And because a trip to Iceland isn't complete without a thermal bath experience, the hotel provides guests with its own spa center for an intense relaxation experience right at their fingertips. The spa features an outdoor pool that blends in perfectly with nature, an indoor pool, one with geothermal hot water and one with cold water. A sauna is also available, as are treatments and massages on request. Bathing in the warm outdoor pool, in the middle of the snow and winter cold, searching for the Northern Lights, or in summer to contemplate the midnight sun, are reasons enough to stay at this unforgettable hotel. In terms of catering, three areas are available to guests: the breakfast buffet, serving a mix of homemade products made from healthy, tasty local ingredients; a lounge bar; and, of course, a restaurant where guests can enjoy a 3-course menu, prepared with local produce and revisiting Icelandic cuisine in an almost gastronomic way. An address you can trust!

Our arrival at the 360hotel was much quieter than expected as the hotel had received several booking cancellations as a result of Keflavik Airport being closed to all flights.
We were warmly welcomed by the owners Oli (Olafur)and his lovely wife Anna. We found a quiet corner in the restaurant and admired the Icelandic countryside surrounding the hotel whilst our accommodation - The Grand Suite was being prepared for our 4 night stay.
From the moment we stepped inside the hotel we were made to feel part of Oli and Anna's family and instantly knew we had chosen the perfect hotel for our Valentine's break. Anna was a delightgul host escorting and showing us around our suite.
We had picked our accommodation wisely as we had not made any plans during our stay. Our ultimate aim was simply to relax and unwind in the Icelandic countryside.
Our suite had everything we needed, we loved the large bathroom, bedroom and separate sittig room. The bedroom and sitting room areas, had large sliding patio doors with wonderful views of the Southern Iceland landscape.
The super-sized bed was extremely comfortable. My husband and I had some of the best nights sleep ever at the 360hotel.
Depending on what side of the hotel your room is situated (North or South) you will be blessed with a spectacular sunrise or sunset. For the best views of the Aurora Borealis request a room on the North side of the hotel – we were very fortunate to see the Northern Lights during our stay from both in and outside of the hotel – it's not easy to see the Aurora Borealis with the naked eye, so don't forget to take your camera & a small tripod!
The Grand Suite is the hotel's largest room and can sleep up to 4 adults, but other room grades are also available if you are on a budget. The Grand Suite is located on the South side of the hotel and is one of the closest rooms to the indoor and outdoor thermal baths. The suite has a mini well stocked mini bar (for an extra cost).
Breakfast was included in our room rate and I can honestly say there was something for everyone as the hotel catered for all tastes and diets.
As the majority of guests have vehicles or book on an all day excursion the hotel doesn't offer lunch but they can rustle up a toasted sandwich if you opt to spend the day using the thermal baths, sauna, plunge tub and hot tubs. There's no need to make a spa reservation and if you fancy a massage this can be arranged via reception.
Just to the left-hand side of the hotel main entrance is a spacious sitting area for guests to chat with new found friends, play board games or the piano or simply to read a book.
The 360hotel offers a set 3 course evening meal, (soup / main / desert) for a reasonable price, our meals were delicious and we did not have the same dish twice.
If you enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner or fancy a beer, spirit or a cocktail these are available at an extra cost. We can highly recommend the Icelandic Craft Beers.
Oli and Anna's two Icelandic Sheepdogs (Laphunds) Tina and Skrumba have the run of the hotel, including your room if you let them. (Skrumba the eldest dog is Tina's Grandma). The dogs have a happy nature and are very friendly but sometimes they do bark when they are chasing birds or greeting arrivals. If you do not like dogs then this hotel is not for you.
We loved every moment of our stay at the 360hotel in Selfoss and enjoyed Iceland immensely. Thank you Oli, Anna, Skruma and Tina.
We would also like to thank Justina & Claudia from Poland who work very hard cleaning & serving guests and being amazing hosts – you are a credit to the 360hotel.
A big thank you also to the two chefs for our amazing food.
Overall our visit to Iceland and the 360hotel was very special.
We hope to return.
