ABBEY CHURCH OF SAINTS ST. PETER AND PAUL
Church with a roman bell tower, remarkable stained glass windows and a beautiful organ, one of the most important religious buildings in Alsace.
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1930, this Gothic-style abbey was built between the late 13th and early 14th centuries. Among the abbey's furnishings are a chandelier, a copy of a famous11th-century piece, and a large 14th-century fresco depicting Saint Christopher. There is also a statue of the good King Dagobert, founder of the abbey, as well as fine sculptures and wall paintings dating from the 14th century.
