Valley in the heart of a vertiginous and fabulous landscape, with forest, waterfalls and stony desert, in Skaftafell.

Two trails lead to the Morsárdalur valley and the bridge over the Morsá river: one via the viewpoint at Sjónarsker, the other, longer trail, via the densely wooded lower slopes. You can then continue along the rocky, waterfall-strewn slopes of Skórar, which form the western side of Skaftafellsheiði. The lower slopes are covered with a beautiful birch forest, Bæjarstadarskogúr, whose dense and flowery undergrowth contrasts with the stony desert of the Morsá riverbed. A dizzying and fabulous landscape.
