Friendly hotel in Jokulsarlon, with well-maintained and comfortable rooms with private bathroom

This vast farmhouse offers a pleasant restaurant and a beautiful museum. The reception is very friendly and the rooms, recent, are rather small but well maintained and comfortable, with a very basic decoration. All have a private bathroom. The restaurant on the spot is also delicious! An excellent place to discover Lake Jökulsárlón and the surrounding area. Also nearby is a museum dedicated to the writer Þórbergur Þórðarson (1888-1974), which traces his life through his history and works.

Nice hotel located very close to the glacier lagoon. Bed was comfortable, pretty good blackout curtains, nice shower, and quiet. The restaurant on site is very expensive for very mediocre food. I would plan to bring your own food (options on site are limited)
