A pretty difficult path leads to the top of the mountain (985 m). From here, we have a superb view from the summit. Völvuleiði, the "tomb of showy," is situated on heights. Legend tells that once a prominent showy lived at the Ferme farm in the Reyðarfjörður. Before dying, she asked to be buried at the most beautiful place in the fjord, predicting that as long as her bones would be there, the fjord would be protected.
