This nature reserve has been protected for several decades. These rocks, located north of the Glerá River and east of Hörgábraut Street, were obviously formed by the action of glaciers 5 to 10 million years ago. Take the time to walk around and admire the many species of plants (over 200) and birds that live there. In Akureyri, it is said that a whole hidden world of elves lives in the Stofuklöpp rock.
