Jólagarðurinn is Christmas all year round. In Iceland, there is not only one Father Christmas, but thirteen. They're called Jólasveinar. According to legend, they were the sons of a troll woman, Giant Grýla. Thirteen days before Christmas night, the boys go down the evening of the highlands, each in turn, to visit the farms and villages by playing the towers to the inhabitants. Each has a nickname indicating their preference: lécheur of spoons, candles, etc.
