Nothing fancy but very homely.. loved it when the hosts' little twins lit the candles for the dinner table.. played a bit of football in the ground next to the hotel..

Wir wurden gestern sehr freundlich bei unserer Ankunft begrüßt und haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war super; Brot hat frisch und selbst gebacken geschmeckt und auch die Waffeln waren lecker. Wir wurden auch gefragt, ob wir lieber Rührei möchten, was ich sehr nett & aufmerksam fand. Unser Zimmer & unser Bad war wirklich sehr sauber. Ja, das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig, aber es hat auf jeden Fall Potential. Viel Erfolg an die beiden Besitzer :)

!!!! Extrémně špatný přístup!!!!
Po našemu příjezdu jsme zjistili, že hotel je úplně opuštěný. Byly zamčené dveře, zvednuté židle a bylo jasné, že hotel nepočítá s žádnými hosty. A to jsme měli rezervaci a celý hotel jsme měli kompletně zaplacený. Telefon nezvedali…. A nebylo možné se s hotelem spojit.
Naštěstí Booking nám pomohl.
Ale hotel určitě nedoporučujeme!!

a no frills basic hotel with shared bathrooms in a remote area of the Vatnses peninsula. good dirt road get you there. breakfast was good. best experience was that the rooms all gave north and in the dark we experienced a spectacular view of northern lights after midnight. nearby sea stack and bird life amazing.

Not acceptable to pay such a price for such a poor service. This Hotel looks abandoned and is left in its 70s used state. Bathrooms are old, entrance of the hotel is a shame, signs of water leaks in the corridor, the hotel advertises pool game for which the sticks are not useable and have the same age as the hotel. If you want to propose such price please renew your hotel. Location is isolated so at least improve the experience for the respect of your customers

The rooms are clean and confortable. They just have 2 beds, a table and something to clean your hands and teeth.
The bathrooms are shared, they are clean (when you arrive) and then It can change ...
The breakfast is included, and its a good one.
The personal are kind and the place is so quiet, so is a good choice to rest.
They have too a big room to socialice with a billar on it. We had a good time playing

Its a bit over priced but still a good place for a night!

L’emplacement est typique de l’Islande : isole de tout et accessible par une « bonne » piste. L’endroit est calme mais l’hôtel en mieuc meme n’a aucun charme. Les chambres sont austères et petites. Douches et wc communs. Petit dej compris dans la nuité. Rien d’extraordinaire mais le prix proposé pour une nuit ne correspond en rien à la prestation réalisé. Je vous conseille de faire quelques kilomètres en plus et d’aller ailleurs pour le même prix (voir moins) vous aurez bien mieux

距離一號公路約需走半小時的碎石路，四周是曠野農場，沒有餐廳。旅館不供應晚餐，且沒有廚房，要自己做好準備。
房間不大但很乾淨，有很大的餐廳可供休憩、聯誼。

The place is practically abandoned, no one at the check in, no one answering the phone, four different numbers were indicated at the reception, two of them were out of service, and no answer in the other two. The room stank, several dead flies in the room. Bed sheets not ironed, and very poor breakfast. No service for dinner whilst the closest place was 30 km away.

We drove 20km on a road which you can't even call a road, bumpy and homes everywhere, not the hotels fault ofc, but still worth to note.

We came to the hotel, we met a girl, our guess was that was a worker, our key was located on the front desk table and we were alone, no one else was there!

Shared 2 toilets/bathrooms with 10 rooms.

If we could have been greeted by someone and that someone would've said that "You guys will be alone, here's your key, your room etc" and then left that'd be a much better experience. Our visit felt like something out of a post apocalyptic movie, empty house with the front door open.

The young owners renovated the hotel with a lot of effort and love and reopened it in April 2023. The building is a former school, which gives the premises a special charm. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Freshly baked bread is available for breakfast every morning and you have the option of making fresh, warm waffles. The hotel lies in a great location, in the middle of beautiful nature, not far from Hvítserkur rock and within easy reach of Hvammstangi, Blönduós and other attractions. A river flows 200 m from the hotel, which is ideal for fly fishing. A fishing license and the corresponding guiding can be requested and purchased at the hotel. Riding tours are also offered.
We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back here!

We have spent one night at Hotel Hvitserkur and we have loved it.
It's located not far from Hvitserkur in a very peaceful area.
The German couple that runs it does it with great passion.
Rooms are basic but very cozy.
Breakfast is included and you can find everything you might need.
Ask the reception to meet their wonderful horses, you will not be able to fall in love with them.

Ich würde das ganze mal Gästehaus nennen, deutsche Leitung, Lage doch ziemlich weit draußen, sehr freundlicher Service und supernettes Personal, Frühstück absolut ok, Zimmer für eine Übernachtung gut, Parken direkt vor dem Haus kostenlos, Insgesamt alle dort sehr bemüht, aber es muss auch noch einiges getan werden. Trotzdem würde ich es weiterempfehlen.

Total abgelegen, 16km Schotterpiste schlechter als die Vatnses-Umrundung, kaum Internet, kein W-lan, knarrende Betten, alte Möblierung, Betten mit hohem Fussteil, müffeliges Bad, das ganze Anwesen stark renovierungsbedürtig - Aber der deutschsprachige Betreiber sehr freundlich, sehr nett, backt das Brot wohl selbst, Waffeln zum Selberbacken beim Frühstück.

Alberghetto decadente. Lontano dal mondo, offre delle stanze di basso livello, molto vecchie.
Da ristrutturare completamente!
Anche la colazione è migliorabile. Pane raffermo e pochissima scelta.
Da rivedere!
