Guesthouse in the middle of the Bjarnarfjordur valley, with comfortable rooms, swimming pool and medieval hot spring

It's love at first sight for this guesthouse lost in the middle of the Bjarnarfjordur valley, 23 km from Holmavík. You'll find a giant swimming pool, a medieval hot spring with miraculous powers and a replica of traditional Icelandic dwellings (in partnership with the Museum of Witchcraft). The 17 rooms are comfortable and peaceful, some with shared bathrooms. The onsite restaurant offers simple cuisine, but is convenient when arriving after a long day.

Absolutely loved our stay at Laugarholl in September. The rooms were big and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and most of all, the buffet at dinner was the best meal we had in our 2 week trip without any doubt, it was a bit expensive but everything was delicious. Breakfast was OK, with different options but not as good as dinner, but this was included with our stay so it was enough for us. The outside pool was not included in the price of the room but for a small fee I was able to try it and really enjoyed it as well. I will visit them again in my next trip to Iceland.

Pretty location. Twin room with shared bath was good, not great for the price. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything my neighbors were saying plus the man snoring all night through the wall next to me. Food was expensive. Have to pay extra to use the swimming pool...why not included? The pool is a large swimming pool that has been filled with thermal water and was very enjoyable. Hotel had a nice large living room if you are there with friends. Probably would not stay here again.

Hotel Laugarholl war ein Highlight unserer Luxus-Reise.
Ein wundervolles Hotel mitten im nirgendwo, mit einer historischen Familiengeschichte und einem Vulkan ???? beheiztem Luxus Hotel, was sein eigenes Schwimmbadhaus zu bieten hat.
Das absolute Highlight war das hauseigene Museum mit naturbelassenen erhaltenen Ureinwohner -Häus(chen).
Das Hotel wird im Familienbetrieb betrieben, und ist einfach nur wunderschön ????????????????♥️♥️♥️

Liebevoll renovierte saubere Zimmer, die gemeinschaftlichen Sanitäranlagen waren super sauber und gut.
Gutes Frühstück, abends konnte man am leckeren Buffet teilnehmen.
Im offenen Schwimmbad waren wir nicht.
