Small hotel with a warm welcome, offering bright rooms with private bathroom, overlooking the port
What a marvel! This small, intimate hotel with 10 rooms and a beautiful view of the harbor is the perfect vacation home. The design decor is tasteful and the welcome particularly warm. The rooms are small but bright, each with a private bathroom, iPad and Coco-Mat beds. Breakfast is wholesome, with fresh organic eggs from local farmers. Around 3pm, you can enjoy hot waffles or blueberry tarts with ice cream from the local Erpsstaðir farm.

Le meilleur hôtel que j'ai jamais connu en Islande. On se sent tout de suite chez soi et l'hôtesse est très attentionnée. L'ambiance de l'ancien hôtel est unique avec une immense bibliothèque. Chambres avec inventaire moderne et aussi ancien. Tout s'emboîte. A cette époque de l'année en hiver, nous avions l'hôtel pratiquement pour nous tous seuls. L'Egilsen est situé directement sur le port et est bordé de maisons typiques du nord. L'Islande n'a plus beaucoup de culture de construction ancienne à offrir. Ici, cependant, il est encore plus prononcé que d'habitude.
