BJARNARHÖFN FARM SHARK MUSEUM
A small museum dedicated to the Greenland shark where you can taste the famous Icelandic pheasant shark
Here, about twenty kilometers west of Stykkishólmur (access by road 577), there is a small museum dedicated to the Greenlandic shark where you can taste the famous Icelandic pheasant shark (beware, the taste is particular... at your own risk!). The museum staff will be proud to show you how it is prepared. The site, where the farm and a 19th century church stand, was occupied in the early 10th century by a settler from Norway, Björn Ketilsson.
