As the name suggests, this guest house is located in a former post office. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, though very small, with excellent bedding, and some have en-suite shower rooms. A fully-equipped kitchen is at your disposal, as well as a terrace to enjoy the fine weather. What makes this place so special? Its breathtaking view of Mount Kirkjufell! Located on the main road, it's just a few minutes from the port of Grundarfjörður, ideal if you're planning a sea excursion.

Leider wurde gerade renoviert und es roch überall nach Farbe und man musste aufpassen, nirgends gegen zu kommen. Dadurch wirkten die Gänge und die Küche leider etwas dreckig und wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Der Preis von 150 EUR die Nacht war dafür auch zu teuer.
Es gab eine Gemeinschaftsküche mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und gratis Kaffee und Tee.
Parken konnte man direkt vorm Hotel.
Für den Check in musste man den Hörer kurz abnehmen, auflegen und dann rief jemand an und hat den Türcode durch gegeben. Die Schlüssel lagen mit Namen versehen auf einem Tisch. Also ganz easy ????
