The only national park managed by the Icelandic Environment Agency, located in Snæfellsjökull
Snæfellsjökull National Park was established in 2001 and is the only national park managed by the Icelandic Environment Agency. To find out more about the park, visit the information centre in Malarrif. You will find maps and information about the park (history of fisheries, fauna, flora...). Also books (in English) for sale, such as Jules Verne's novel Journey to the Center of the Earth . Two toilets are accessible outside free of charge. Take the opportunity to walk to the Malariff lighthouse next door.
