Nous sommes arrivés tardivement à l’hôtel après une longue journée de route et nous avons été accueillis comme des rois. Nous étions ce soir là les seuls clients de l’hôtel (basse saison). Même à une heure tardive, nos hôtes nous ont préparé un repas du soir excellent et sans stress! Ils nous ont aussi laissé libre accès au jacuzzi pour terminer notre soirée. Le lendemain, le « chef » nous a préparé un petit déjeuner magnifique! Nous recommandons fortement cet établissement! Pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme!

Here is my family’s experience after a wonderful 5 days in Iceland.
We have informed for a late check in around 8 pm.

We arrived around 8:30 pm although the reception was friendly we entered our room which was extremely cold.
The room was also missing towels and only had one pillow.
We are a couple.

I went to ask the reception why is the room cold and if we can get the things that should be in place already.

The answer was:
You can turn up the heat but it would take at least an hour for the room to be warm enough and also that at the moment we are out of clean towels and extra pillows.

I was taken by surprise with the calmness that all his were shared with me.
I explained to them that this is unprofessional and that the room should be already warm as they were expecting us. The room was almost the same temperature as outside in Iceland. The heater was a small electrical one.
oce again I was met with a calm but rude reaction of this is the situation, we can't do anything else at this time.

We decided with my wife to see if we can leave and stay somewhere else, note the place is far away from most other accomodations and if someone has been in Iceland they know that most of the accomkdstions are fully booked.
The closest one we found was in Reykjavik, 3 hours away (9pm already).

As this was a booking with no cancellation we asked if under this horrible circumstances we would still get the refund. They were fast to reply yes, I asked them once more if they have filed the claim to booking.com and they said yes and if the refund was valid.

With that said we did a 3 hours drive to Reykjavik to stay in a warm room with everything we were supposed to have in a normal accommodation.

The refund was never completed and they even lied to a message after we reached out to booking.com for the situation.

The area was nic, but we have never met somehtifn similar before regarding accommodation.

Had a wonderful time in Iceland. We did a self guided tour with a rental vehicle and this was one of the seven places we stayed, and was definately the best. I've been to some top notch hotels in my life, and this place has it all. Not being able to stay longer at this particular establishment is one of our few regrets about our stay in Iceland.
It is fairly remote, so I would recommend arranging at least some of your meals here. Also, you will need to drive down long, narrow, gravel, rural roads, but GPS got us there no problem, and they're in the process of widening the roads now. (Get the extra insurance on the car)
Well worth the drive (which is beautiful BTW).

Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux.
Les chambres sont belles, spacieuses, très propres, dans un environnement et un cadre idylliques.

Hôte parfaite d'une gentillesse extraordinaire ! Dans un paysage à couper le souffle !

The Vogur Country Lodge is an amazing place! We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. The owners are extremely gracious and the common area is incredibly nice.

The amenities are also great for the price. This stay was a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Hotel in the middle of nowhere away from everything with several dozen miles of gravel road. It is still a very nice hotel, however, with large rooms, very friendly reception and good restaurant. Breakfast maybe not very varied

Liegt sehr weit von der nächsten Asphaltierten Straße. Zimmer sind einfach aber genügend eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Die Sauna sowie die Whirlpool waren ebenfalls eine sehr gute Möglichkeit sich zu entspannen

Wat een vreselijk slecht ontbijt.

W pokoju bardzo nie przyjemny zapach. Zdjęcia na stronach internetowych nie są zgodne z rzeczywistym wyglądem obiektu. Bardzo drogi nocleg.

Alveg mögnuð staðsetning á þessu hóteli og maturinn á hótelinu mjög góður, einnig mjög flott morgunverður og hægt að baka sér pönnukökur í morgunverð ????????

This place was fantastic! The drive to the location was spectacular, despite some portion of the trek being unpaved, but not as wild as a true F road in Iceland. Assuming that the gent who manned the counter most of the time was/is the owner, he was great. Fantastic sense of humor and great with providing information on the local area and things to do. The place was clean, beautiful and there is even a waterfall on the property that you can easily walk to. Additionally, they have a restaurant attached to the property and the food was exceptional. We used the location as our base to drive the whole Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Would love to go back and stay longer.

Bellissimo hotel nel bel mezzo del niente. 30km di strada sterrata (ben tenuta) per raggiungerlo. Vale la pena se si ha tempo. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Al mattino siamo partiti alle 4,30. Il proprietario ci ha voluto salutare e preparare dei panini invece della colazione.

Nice view, clean comfortable rooms. You must try the curry rice. Good prices. Also go see the waterfall at a short walk behind the hotel.

Hotel moderne et propre, mais chambres sonores (on entend le ronflement des voisins), salle de bain minimaliste. Nous avions demandé un lit supplémentaire enfant qui a été confirmé à la réservation et que nous n'avons pas eu, nous avons dormi à 3 dans 1 lit. Petit dej servi à partir de 8h, c'est très tard pour un lieu si reculé qui se trouve à plus de 2h de piste du site touristique le plus proche même si en contrepartie le cadre est magnifique. Petit dej peu varié, sans le moindre gâteau ou viennoiserie, juste du pain, et la possibilité tout de même de faire soi même ses gauffres. Pas de produit chaud non plys de type omelette ou bacon, que des charcuteries froides, fromage et quelques fruits et legumes. Nous avons mangé au restaurant le soir, c'était bon mais la facture n'était pas faite au moment de partir, ce qui nous a retardés encore plus. Enfin la porte d'accès des chambres vers la salle de petit dej était fermée à clé, nous avons du nous y rendre par dehors.

Glimrende nyt og moderne hotel. Meget store værelser med nye møbler i god stand. Lækkert badeværelse. Fantastisk udsigt. Det er en betonbygning med synlige betonelementer. Vil nok ikke falde i alles smag. Der er ikke roomservice. Vi fik ikke ordnet seng, skiftet håndklæder eller tømt skraldespand i de tre nætter vi var her.

Maden er glimrende. Store portioner og rimelige priser. Der er meget langt til andre ting i nærheden. Stedet er glimrende hvis man godt kan lide at vandre samt se på fugle og naturen. Der er et smukt vandfald lige i baghaven.

Le lieu est très spacieux, très propre et épuré. Accueillant et calme. Vue imprenable.
Le repas est un régal pour sa saveur et sa vue, tout le monde se donne beaucoup de peine ! Merci et je recommande vivement

The highlight is the location! It’s very remote and secluded, impressive view, close to a little waterfall. It’s perfect for a weekend gateway. They have a jacuzzi and a sauna which is great, as well as a place to do BBQ.

The food in the restaurant is delicious (chicken, fish, vegetarian) at a very good priced for Iceland (3000-4500 a dish)

The only warning is it’s about half an hour of unpaved road. We went with Kia xceed but it was not raining. I don’t know how reachable it is under worse weather consi

We went to this place, as it is very remote. Nice view, not crowded. Spacious rooms and a superb Restaurant.

Johnny was providing an excellent service with on the spot recommandations.

Anne the cook suprised us with one of the best chicken currys we ever had. It was perfectly made, every single ingredient were spot on. It was fantastic.

We really loved that dinner and the provided service by Johnny!

Endroit calme avec une vue splendide sur le fjord, les chambres sont spacieuses et décorées avec goût, le restaurant est classé et le service parfait. Nous nous sommes régalés. Bravo ????????
