This point, also known as Punta Rossa, marks the southern limit of the Scandola Reserve. The exploration starts from a reef that rises to the surface some 50 m from the coast, and can be explored in two directions. If you choose to follow the drop-off towards land, at around 23 m, you'll discover the wreck of an old coalminer from the 1930s, the Saint-Mathieu. The second option is to let yourself sink along the drop-off on the seaward side. The wall is much steeper and you quickly reach 40 m, then 50 m.
