This café was designed in 1899 by Adolf Loos, one of Austria's greatest architects and representative of "modern classicism". Renovated in 2003 according to Loos' original plan, the café has been restored to its original appearance with an architecture that renounces decorative elements. For this reason, the café was nicknamed Café Nihilismus. It was a meeting place for artists, merchants, students and travelers. Today it serves trendy bistro cuisine and inventive and excellent pastries.

Café historique. On peu voir encore les couleurs, les tables, les chaises de l'architect Loos. Rien à dire pour les plats, on y va pour l'ambience.

Une visite à Vienne n'est pas complète sans avoir fait l'expérience d'un typique café Viennois. Le Cafe Museum est l'endroit idéal pour expérimenter le mode de vie des habitants de Vienne. Les fauteuils sont très confortables et les boissons et pâtisseries sont délicieuses, mais un peu chères.

This café is superb, drinks and cakes are delicious and especially the reserved reception is excellent. We controversial lengthily with the waitress who told the origin of the Viennese cafés and indicated us nicely where to go during our stay!
