The house has been in existence since 1873. Its location makes the Landtmann a café of exception rather than tradition. Attended by ministers who hold press conferences, writers and businessmen. With its large, pleasant terrace, it was once one of the most prominent literary salons. If you want breakfast, you'll have to come early to avoid being deprived of croissants, as theintelligentsia rises at dawn. The fresh, simple yet finely prepared dishes are a perfect match for the refined decor.

Après avoir déambulé sur la Ringstrasse, vient le moment où une pause est appréciée. Le Cafė Landtmann est idéal pour cela. Très, très bons gâteaux. Possibilité de s' asseoir en terrasse ou de choisir l'ambiance typique du café viennois, à l'intérieur. Lors de ma visite, j'ai accompagnė le gâteau d'un excellent thé chai latté. Petite attention particulière, il est possible de demander un petit pot de lait et cela sans frais. Pour qui aime son chai latté avec beaucoup de lait, c'est vraiment chouette.

It is a coffee shop very " end of siècle" , impeccable service and a real pleasure for an evening. I regret not read the advice on the Pharisaer café... I will want to come back for .....
Evitez de vous asseoir en extérieur! L'intérieur est tellement plus typique que cela serait dommage de s'en priver!
