CAFÉ KORB
It's a typical Viennese café with the patina of the 1960s, its regulars and its divine apfelstrudel. Susanne Widl, the eccentric owner, is hardly ever seen here anymore. But even from a distance, this former model and underground artist keeps a watchful eye. Nestled in a small square behind St. Peter's Church, Café Korb blends tradition and the avant-garde. The waiters are dressed in traditional garb, but the cards are fluorescent and the terrace is colorful. It's best to go there in the morning to find a seat. Concerts and other events are scheduled in the basement.
