Church famous for its Sunday high mass with choir and orchestra, and its concerts.
Built in the first half of the 14th century, next to a classical building on Josefsplatz, it is hardly noticeable. You have to look up to see its bell tower. Here Maria Theresa and Franz Stephan of Habsburg-Lorraine were married (1736), Napoleon and Marie Louise (1810), Sissi and Franz Joseph (1854). The church is known for its Sunday high mass with choir and orchestra and its concerts. Franz Schubert conducted his Mass in F major on the great organ.
