HERMESVILLA (HERMESVILLA)
Charming manor house in the heart of the former imperial hunting reserve.
Located on the site of the former imperial hunting grounds, now a zoological park, this charming manor house was presented to Empress Sissi by her husband Franz Joseph. Carl von Hasenauer, creator of the Ring, was responsible for its construction, which took place between 1882 and 1886. The empress called on Makart and Klimt to decorate the mansion, which she named after her favorite Greek god, Hermes, the god of travel... A plunge into history in memory of Sissi.
