The Hofpavillon, inaugurated in 1899 near the Imperial Hofburg Palace, is a subway station designed by Otto Wagner.

A subway station designed by Otto Wagner, just like those at Karlsplatz. Inaugurated in 1899 opposite Schönbrunn Palace, around 100 m from the Hietzing subway station, the Hofpavillon was built for Emperor Franz Joseph, who used it only twice. This majestic imperial pavilion is no longer in use. A typical Art Nouveau building, it houses two waiting rooms, the large domed one in red tones, the smaller one in green, both richly decorated with woodwork, tapestries and frescoes.
