Strudlhofgasse and Liechtensteinstrasse are spectacular and well representative of Art Nouveau.

Vienna is famous for its Stiegen, public staircases. Between Strudlhofgasse and Liechtensteinstraße, these are spectacular and well representative of Art Nouveau, flanked by a fountain erected in 1910 to designs by Johann Theodor Jaeger. They are a Viennese literary reference, cited in one of the most famous Viennese novels, Strudlhofstiege by Heimito von Doderer (1951), but less mythical than the Trevi Fountain for Italian cinema...
