Thefirst part
presents the fine porcelain created for royal and imperial clients, through pieces that came from China to enrich the tables of European courts. In addition, a space is reserved for the first porcelain factory in Vienna, founded by the craftsman Claudius Innocentius du Paquier in 1718, before passing into the hands of the emperor in 1744. The baroque porcelains of Claudius Innocentius du Paquier are in close proximity to rococo, classical and Viennese Biedermeier. The Viennese Kaisersemmel porcelain is in the spotlight. The imperial porcelain factory, which remained active for more than a century, closed its doors in 1864.a second part of the museum
focuses on the 20th and 21st centuries. The second part of the museum focuses on the 20th and 21st centuries. Almost 40 years after the closure of the Imperial Porcelain Factory in 1923, a new factory, the so-called Viennese Augarten Porcelain Factory, was established here, building on the legacy of the Imperial Factory. We discover the production of the 1920s and 1930s, in the middle of the Art Deco period. This is followed by more refined pieces from the 1950s. Afinal touch with contemporary designers such as Philipp Bruni, inspired by the Viennese porcelain of the 1920's.
