OTTO WAGNER PAVILION
Pavilion housing an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the Austrian Secession architect.
This pavilion, erected in 1898 and divided into two structures, one western, the other eastern, was created by Otto Wagner on a subway platform. Opening onto Karlplatz, this little jewel of Art Nouveau now houses an exhibition in the western pavilion dedicated to the life and work of the architect of the Austrian Secession, with models, period photos, plans and reconstructions of his works... In summer, the oriental pavilion houses a café. Another of Wagner's subway stations faces Schönbrunn Palace.
