RATHAUS PARK
The Rathaus Park is lively in winter with the Christmas market and ice rink, and in summer with the film festival.
The town hall park, spread over more than 40,000 m², is organized in two vast sections of greenery planted with trees and structured by pathways orchestrated by the wide avenue leading to the town hall. Inaugurated in 1873, it was commissioned in 1863 by Emperor Franz Joseph to the city gardener Rudolph Siebeck, who added a few modern elements to break with the formal character of the buildings adjacent to the Ring. The Rathaus Park is enlivened in winter by the Christmas market and the ice rink, by the film festival in summer, etc.
