A site for nature, entertainment and sport, featuring the Ernst-Happel stadium, swimming pool, bowling alley, exhibition center...

In the top 10 of the world's most beautiful public parks. The huge and hugely popular Prater Park, with its Ferris wheel, is Vienna's landmark. At the entrance to the amusement park, it has stood at a height of almost 65 m since 1897. Erected to mark the 50th anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph's reign, it remains dear to the hearts of the Viennese people. While the amusement park is packed with fairground stalls and gastronomic stops, the green spaces, alleys and paths are ideal for jogging and cycling.

This giant park stretches over 1,300 hectares between the canal and the Danube, alternating meadows, waterholes and forest. Once reserved for imperial hunting, and owned by the Emperor since the reign of Maximilian II (16th century), the Prater was reserved for the nobility until it was opened to the public in 1766. However, it wasn't until the development of public transport at the end of the 19th century that the Prater became a truly popular site.

The Prater is home to numerous facilities: the large Ernst-Happel stadium, an outdoor swimming pool, a bowling alley, the city's exhibition center, two racecourses, a planetarium (inaugurated in 1964), numerous sports clubs, soccer and tennis fields, special facilities for roller-skaters and a number of renowned gastronomic establishments. A place to live and play.

The amusement park is very nice and not only if you are lover thrills. It offers a friendly. The ferris wheel and original with its small cabins in the shape of a coach, allows you to have a nice view of the capital.

But vienna Prater is not only composed by the amusement park. There are also Prater green, a pleasant park to walk.
