FRANZISKANERPLATZ
This church in the heart of a friendly neighborhood was built in a Renaissance style that is unique in Vienna.
The church on this small square, in a very nice neighbourhood, was built in a Renaissance style quite unique in Vienna, at the beginning of the 17th century, in place of a convent of the Franciscan order, established in the capital in 1451. The interior of the church is completely baroque, and the organ is the oldest in Vienna. Streets are being pedestrianized and friendly public facilities are being installed. Finally, the late 18th century Moses Fountain stands on the Franciscan Square.
