SÜNNHOF
This boutique-lined courtyard is a peaceful enclave between two noisy thoroughfares.
A vestige of the Biedermeier era in the first half of the 19th century, the narrow courtyard between Landstrasser Hauptstraße and Ungargasse had become insalubrious and was almost razed to the ground in the early 1980s. A Carinthian entrepreneur decided to transform the building into a 4-star hotel, restoring the complex to its original splendor. Lined with boutiques, the courtyard is a peaceful enclave between two noisy thoroughfares. It's like stepping back in time to cross this passageway of yellow facades and canopied glass balconies.
