KARMELITERMARKT
In the former Jewish quarter, now one of the city's trendiest and friendliest, the Karmelitenmarkt, which has existed on the square of the same name since 1671, is constantly expanding its gastronomic offering. You'll find delicatessens opening their own restaurants, such as Zimmer 37 with its vegetarian cuisine, and fresh, hearty breakfasts nearby at Café-Bar Einfahrt. There are also pizzas, hamburgers, an Austrian wine bar, a beisl for aperitifs... On certain Saturdays, the Slow Food Vienna association runs a stand at the market.
